We got a chance to be part of many moving stories of people while some were heartbreaking, some managed to put a smile on our face and others inspired us enough to think and act. Oprah expressed her unchanging ideals and shared her greatest aha moments with us. Her story is incredible and completely inspiring in every way. The vision and the ultimate message she wanted to share with people is that you.. you are not alone.

Let’s take a look at some of the greatest and inspiring life lessons that she holds the most precious :

1. Everybody has a ‘calling’.

What exactly is a calling? It is something you do that lights you up and let’s you know that you are exactly where you are supposed to be, doing exactly what you are supposed to be doing. Your real job in life is to figure out what that is and get about the business of doing it. You need to figure out what sparks the light in you so that you illuminate the world in your own way.

2. Each one of us has our own platform.

Do not let the trappings here fool you. Not everybody’s platform is aligned to their profession. Your platform is wherever you are with your own reach, no matter how small or large that reach is. Your platform is your stage, your circle of  influence and your talk show where your power lies. And in every way, in every day, you are showing people exactly who you are.

3. You have the power to change somebody’s life

You can help somebody. You can listen, you can forgive. You can heal. Look around and see, you may not have to look any further than your own family or may be even your own self. The power is the same. You can all be someone’s safe harbor, someone’s safe place to fall.

4. Nobody but ‘you’ are responsible for your own life.

All life is energy. We transfer it at every moment and the world responds in kind. You are responsible not only for the energy that you create for yourself but also for the energy that you bring to others. So take the responsibility for the energy you bring into space.

5. No one completes you.

Don’t wait for somebody else to come and fix you. Nobody is ever gonna save you or complete you. You have to do it for yourself. You need to live from the heart of yourself.

6. Unworthiness is the common thread that runs through all of our pain and all of our sufferings.

Most of the people have this feeling of being not worthy enough to own the life they were created for. There is a difference between thinking you deserve to be happy and knowing that you are worthy of happiness.

7.  You alone are enough.

We often block our own blessings because we don’t feel inherently good enough or smart enough or pretty enough or worthy enough. You are worthy because you are born and you are here. Your being alive makes worthiness your birthright.

8. Everybody wants to be heard.

Every single person you ever will meet in your life share this common desire of being validated. They want to know: ‘Do you see me? Do you hear me? Does what I say mean anything to you?’ Try it with your children, your husband, your wife, your boss, your friends. Validate them. ‘I see you. I hear you. And what you say matters to me.’

9. What are the whispers in your life and will you hear it ?

Your life is always speaking to you, first in whispers and if you don’t pay attention to those whispers, it gets louder and louder. It is closer than your breath and it’s yours for asking. You can acknowledge it or not, worship it or not you can praise it or ignore it or you can know it.
