An analysis by captiv8 reported by Economic Times, YouTube is the best platform for endorsements comparing the average earnings of influences with the same number of followers on different social media platforms, a You tuber with 100k followers will make more money per post than a Snapchat person with 100k followers.
The Federal Trade Commission says such endorsements should be “unambiguous” so as not to misrepresent that the celebrity has been paid for the mention. As a result, more and more of these ads use the hashtag #ad or #sponsored or verbiage such as “Thank you for the gift.”
